Catherine McMurdo was a member of the Women's Social and Political Union (WSPU), who lived at 2 Clarence Square, Cheltenham.
In 1911, she may have been a census evader: her husband is listed at 2 Clarence Square and there is a line with Catherine's details, but this has been crossed out. Her husband was retired from the Irish Lighthouse Department.
She was not a signatory of the 1912 book presented to Sir James Agg Gardner, in recognition of his support for women's suffrage (Gloucestershire Archives, catalogue reference D5130/6/6).
