Richard Lewis Grist was a member of the Conservative and Unionist Women's Franchise Association (CUWFA), who lived at 7 Wellington Square, Cheltenham; he was a signatory of the 1912 Agg Gardner book held at Gloucestershire Archives, catalogue reference D5130/6/6.

On the 1911 census he was listed as married, and his occupation was given as Managing Director at a flock and mattress wool manufacturer.

He died on 1 June 1938.
