They had one son Anthony Shercliff (1916-2007). Harold was an aircraft engineer and designer and worked at Gloster Aircraft, with Handley Page, de Havilland and Pobjoy Aircraft.

He was great-nephew to the Revd. Thomas Pownall Boultbee, who had lived earlier in Pittville.
