Occupation: Clergyman

Lifestory: Identification uncertain: The Revd. John Bartlett lived at 35 Clarence Square, Pittville in 1837, but probably on a very short lease, as he took out a subscription allowing him to take the waters in the Pittville Gardens for only a fortnight. He is most likely to be the John Bartlett (1793-1861) who was Rector of Buildwas in Shropshire and Vicar of Spratton in Northamptonshire. But there were several other clergymen at the time who might also have a claim.
