WEDDING AT ALL SAINTS’ CHURCH.

ARBUTHNOTT—NASH. A marriage was solemnised at All Saints Church, Cheltenham, on Thursday, between Mr. Lindsay George Arbuthnott. Deputy-Inspector-General Madras Police, son of the late Hon David Arbuthnott, I.C.S., and Miss Gertrude Forbes Nash, youngest daughter of Mr Clifford E. F. Nash of Glenfall Lawn, Cheltenham. The officiating clergy were the Bishop of Manchester (cousin of the bride and bridegroom), Rev. N. F. Nash (uncle of the bride). Rev. Canon Gardner, Rev. F.C. Gittens, and Rev. Lindsay Knox. The bride was given away by her father. The bridesmaids were Miss Dorothy Cade and Miss Barbara Hodson Mackenzie, Master Donald Arbuthnott acting as page, while the bridegroom was attended by Mr. Arthur C. Nash as best man. The service was choral.

The bride’s dress was of ivory white Oriental satin and she wore a Limerick lace veil, and carried a bouquet of white carnations and lilies of the valley. The two little bridesmaids wore dresses of white ninon de soie, and carried sheaves of lilium auratum. Their hats were of white felt and feathers. The page was dressed in a white sailor suit. The bride’s travelling costume was of pale blue pastel cloth, with moleskin stole and muff, and black crinoline hat and feathers. A reception was held Glenfall Lawn. The presents numbered about 130.
