The marriage took place on Wednesday at Chipping Warden, near Banbury, of Miss Rivett-Carnac, daughter of the late Colonel Sterling Rivett-Carnac, 11th Hussars, and Mr. Ralph Baker-Penoyre son the late Rev. Slade Baker-Stallard-Penoyre The bride, who wore a white satin dress with semi-court train, was given away by Colonel Farquhar Glennie. The bridesmaids were Miss Coter Scott, Miss W. Keith, and Miss Vesta Toyne They wore dresses of pale pink satin charmeuse, with ninon and lace overdress, and hats with pink flowers. The best man was Mr. John Baker-Penoyre, brother of the bridegroom. The ceremony was conducted by the Rev. Slade R. Baker- Penoyre, and Charles McArthur. Mrs. Rivett-Carnac, the bride’s mother, afterwards held a reception.

Ralph served in WW1 (June 1916–Jan. 1919) in the Army Service Corps under the name Ralph Penoyre Baker Stallard Penoyre. He was mentioned in the Secretary of State for War list of 13 March 1918 for valuable services rendered during the war.
