Thomas Gaskin’s household at 7 (now 47) Pittville Lawn. In 1864 he lived at Roden House, in Pittville Lawn, at the home of Waterloo veteran George Schreiber, whose daughter Agnes he subsequently married. He attended Caius College, Cambridge, BA 1866. He was ordained Deacon (Lichfield) in 1866, and Priest in 1867. In 1866 he was appointed Curate of All Saints, Derby (see Edward Lillingston), and in the same year married Agnes Cecilia, daughter of George Schreiber, of Roden House, Pittville. In 1867 he became Curate of Micklover, Derby 1867-9. He retired from active duties in the church, as a result of his poor health, and lived in Cheltenham, with his wife Agnes, at Roden House, Pittville Lawn, though they were frequent travellers. He was unwell in his last years, but had often helped at services at Holy Trinity Church, and was appointed Vicar’s Warden in Easter 1910.
