Lifestory: Isabel Charlotte Peach Clark was the second of the three children of William Henry and Elizabeth Frances Clark, all baptised at Holy Trinity, Worcester. (Peach was her maternal grandmother's maiden name). When Katherine was seven, the family moved to Cheltenham and lived at Moultondale (now Kingswood) in Pittville Circus Road.

Katherine’s marriage to the Solicitor Arthur Boulton in October 1898 was a very grand affair conducted by her maternal uncle the Reverend Collins Barrett, assisted by her brother Henry Douglas Gee Clark. The wedding reception for upwards of two hundred guests including the Mayor and Mayoress, was held at her parent’s home, Moultondale, in Pittville Circus Road.

The couple made their home in Wolstanton, Staffordshire where their two sons, Douglas Arthur Boulton and Lawrence Hammersley Boulton were born in 1899 and 1904 respectively. Douglas followed his father's career, becoming a solicitor in Staffordshire and Laurence became a popular speedway rider in Manchester. He later moved to Gloucestershire after his marriage in 1932 at Leckhampton Parish church (which had been decorated for the event in the Belle View speedway club colours of red and black).

In 1915, having volunteered on Air Raid duties, Isabel became the Quartermaster of the VAD Hospital Supply Depot 98 in Staffordshire and from 1917, the acting Commandant.

Isabel was widowed in 1926 and remained in Staffordshire where she was joined by her young niece Josephine Isabel Lamb after the death of her parents. Isabel died in 1953 aged eighty-nine.
