Her own wedding was follwed by a reception at the Pittville Pump Room, with catering by George's Ltd. Elsbeth accompanied her botanist (mycologist: fungi) husband to Nyasaland in Africa after her honeymoon in the Austrian Tyrol, and later on to Montego Bay, where they remained for many years, returning to Trumpington, Cambridge when he became a don at the University.
