Lifestory: Emily’s marriage certificate records that she was resident in Northampton when she married. Her husband Richard Evans was a Civil Engineer who in the following years became the Borough Surveyor for Wolverhampton. He had by then however become known as Richard Evans Willoughby Berrington. Their first child, born in 1884, was named Kenneth Clunes Berrington and when Emily died in 1900 her name was recorded as Emily Anne Leslie Berrington.
